Unfortunately I haven't been able to get out and see how the fishing has been in the last month or so. As you know the weather has been quite cold and fishing for steelhead has calmed down significantly from the record breaking counts this year.
I would still bet there are a few steelhead in some of these rivers, The klickitat, Deschutes River, Hood River. During the month of November I hooked a hatchery steelhead on the hood river and that was the last time I went fishing before things got very cold.
As for the deschutes river I would head up river from Maupin as now the fish are further upstream and you might have some luck. I'm not sure about the klickitat river so you'll just have to go and explore. Hopefully I can get out soon and see what's going on in these rivers.

This is awesome! It's been a while since I visited. I would definitely buy some flies if I fished :).
